At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Teemo if you close the gap before he lands his Q blind, because your W and E burst combined with ignite or early item power will chunk him heavily before he can kite you out.
From level 6, you must hard-engage with E silence first in every 1v1, as the silence window is your only reliable way to prevent him from blinding you and kiting; if he blinds you before you silence him, your auto-attack-reliant burst is severely diminished and you will likely lose the extended fight.

Teemo will likely run a standard three-camp clear on the side opposite to you, prioritizing safe farming and early mushroom placement around scuttle and river entrances by level 6.
He will avoid direct confrontation early and instead look to poke you down with Q and poison before committing to a fight, so expect him to play reactively rather than aggressively in the first few levels.

You should invade Teemo at level 3 if you have vision of his position, targeting his second buff camp when he is low on health from clearing; his lack of a reliable escape tool makes him vulnerable in his own jungle if you catch him in a corridor.
Avoid invading after level 6 without vision, as his R mushrooms will be placed throughout his jungle and the slow plus poison damage will significantly reduce your ability to chase or disengage cleanly.

Do not engage Teemo in open areas with long sightlines, as he can kite you indefinitely with his movement speed and poison while you struggle to stick to him without walls to cut off his path.
The critical mistake is walking into his E-silenced range without first confirming he has no mushrooms nearby, because a mushroom slow during your engage window will negate your burst timing and allow him to reposition and blind you before you complete your combo.
