Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Miss Fortune win the 2v2 — your W sustain negates Pyke's poke-to-all-in pattern and your E stun punishes any Pyke that walks up aggressively, and Miss Fortune's E slow means Pyke cannot reliably land his Q hook without being slowed first.
- Post-6, your R is the single most important ability in this matchup because it directly counters Pyke's R execution; using it correctly means Pyke's level 6 power spike is entirely neutralized.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to W Miss Fortune when she takes poke damage to sustain her, then use E through Miss Fortune to stun Pyke if he walks up for a hook — do not use E randomly, save it for when Pyke commits to a hook attempt so you can punish his overextension.
- If Pyke hooks Miss Fortune, immediately E to stun him and allow Miss Fortune to reposition with your W active.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam post-6 when Pyke leaves lane to roam, as your R provides a strong follow-up for your mid laner in a 2v1 or 3v2 scenario — however, do not roam if Pyke is still in lane, because leaving Miss Fortune alone against Pyke and Kai'Sa post-6 is a death sentence for her.
- Optimal roam timing is when the wave is pushed into the enemy tower and Pyke is visibly missing from the minimap.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R reactively the moment Pyke uses his R — you need to activate your R before Pyke's R lands to grant invulnerability during the execution, which means you must anticipate the kill attempt rather than react to it.
- If you use your R too late or save it too long out of uncertainty, Pyke will simply execute Miss Fortune and your R becomes wasted.
