Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most extended poke trades due to your range advantage — Q into E (stun) into Q burst is reliable damage that Kled cannot easily answer without closing the gap, and his Q pull is telegraphed enough to sidestep if you respect his dash range.
- Post-6, your R gives you a reliable kill setup if you land E stun into R into Q spam, but if Kled reaches you while mounted with W stacks active, your lack of mobility means he can chunk you significantly before you burst him down.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to poke with Q from max range to chip Kled's HP before he can engage, then when he commits with his E dash, immediately pivot to E stun into Q-Q burst to punish the all-in.
- Avoid prolonged close-range fights where his W passive auto attacks deal sustained damage — your goal is to spike damage and back off, not trade hit-for-hit.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently with Q to maintain priority, which denies Kled the ability to roam with his R without losing significant CS or tower plates.
- A shoved wave also forces Kled to farm under tower, reducing his ability to build Courage from minion kills efficiently, which delays his remount threat.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not underestimate Kled's dismounted state — he gains bonus resistances scaling with HP, meaning if you fail to kill him outright after dismounting Skaarl, he becomes tankier and can still kill you with his Q shotgun while building Courage.
- Burning your full combo to dismount him and then walking away without securing the kill is a common mistake that resets his threat level entirely.
