LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the direct scuttle fight against Nocturne if he times his E correctly to block your W heal, as your damage output without the healing sustain is insufficient to outlast his Q DPS and W shield — you need to bait his E before committing your W.
- From level 6, your sure win condition is stealing his R with your own R, then using the Nocturne ultimate's fear and vision denial against him in close range while layering your W heal to sustain through his Q damage.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Nocturne typically runs a standard full clear prioritizing red side into raptors or blue side into gromp, looking to hit level 3 scuttle efficiently and then gank whichever lane has the most kill pressure — he will often look for early ganks bot or mid post-scuttle since his E gank setup is strong on pushed lanes.
Invade or Not
- You should generally avoid invading Nocturne pre-6 because his E spell shield and W active make him a strong duelist in isolated 1v1 scenarios where you cannot disengage safely — if you do invade, do it only at 3:30+ when you have confirmed his E is on cooldown from a recent gank or fight, targeting his blue buff side where terrain gives you escape options.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your W as your opener against Nocturne — if you cast W first, he will immediately E to block the chain and you lose your primary healing and damage tool for the full cooldown duration, leaving you extremely vulnerable to his sustained Q damage and W shield trading pattern.
