LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you lose this lane if Pantheon plays correctly — his E passive blocks your W root follow-up, his Q range matches or exceeds your safe trading distance, and his W stun into full combo kills you before your drain does meaningful work.
- Post-6 the dynamic shifts in your favor: your R gives you enough sustain and damage output that surviving his burst window means you win the extended fight, especially with Seraph's or Zhonya's to stall.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to force him to use his E passive by baiting a short trade, then re-engage once it is on cooldown with your W root into Q pull into R activation — his E cooldown is long enough that a second engagement within 10–12 seconds catches him without his block.
- Avoid standing still to cast W predictably; walk toward him to bait his Q or W reaction before committing your root.
Wave Control
- You want a slow push or freeze early to deny him roam windows and keep him in lane where his R roam advantage is wasted, since your wave clear pre-6 is weak and you need CS to reach your sustain items.
- Once you have R and a first item, look to shove and force him to choose between matching your push or losing plates, as your AoE clear becomes a real threat he has to respect.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not try to drain-trade him at levels 1–4 without a root landing first — walking up to auto him without W connecting just gives him a free Q or W stun trade where he wins cleanly.
- Swain players often overestimate how much passive soul stacks matter early; without your R active, your sustain is not enough to offset the burst damage he deals in a short trade window.
