LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Akali wins every extended trade and most short trades due to her melee burst, sustain from her passive, and your lack of reliable escape tools early; you are not a lane bully and should not attempt to fight her unless she is severely mispositioned.
- Post-6, your R gives you a ranged execute threat and some poke leverage, but Akali's R still lets her close the gap and burst you before your damage scales meaningfully, so she continues to win all-ins unless you are significantly ahead in stacks.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to use Q repeatedly from max range to stack passive and poke while she is farming, never committing to extended trades where her passive healing and melee damage overwhelm your output.
- If she engages, use E to disengage or reposition and immediately disengage rather than trading back, as your damage only becomes threatening once you have significant Q stacks built up.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently to force her under tower, where her all-in is harder to execute and she loses passive healing uptime in the brush; a frozen wave near her tower is dangerous for you because it removes your escape routes.
- Use your Q's AoE to efficiently clear and look to rotate or recall safely rather than contesting a wave state that puts you in her engagement range.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand near the side brushes or river entrances, as Akali uses W to enter stealth and reposition for a free all-in that you cannot react to in time.
- Trying to fight her when she has W available is a critical mistake — if you cannot see her, back off immediately rather than guessing her position.
