Who Wins
- You win most trades pre-6 through Q poke and W shield absorption, but you lose all-ins post-6 once Jax gets his R stats and can stick to you.
- Your level 1-2 is particularly strong since your Q base damage is high and Jax lacks sustained trading tools.
How to Trade
- You want to charge Q when Jax approaches minions, forcing him to either take the damage or waste his Q jump, then follow up with W-E if he stays in range.
- Keep trades short and use your W shield to absorb his W-empowered auto, then disengage before he can proc his passive.
Wave Control
- You should push early waves with Q to establish priority and roam potential, but be careful not to overextend without vision since Jax can E-W-Q you for significant damage.
- After level 6, consider slow pushing and looking for TP plays rather than trying to 1v1.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste your Q on minions when Jax has his E available, as he can easily jump on you during the animation and win the trade.
- Never try to all-in him post-6 without a significant health advantage, as his R makes him too tanky while giving him enough damage to outduel you.
