Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 due to Sion's superior base damage and Q poke, but you start winning all-ins post-6 when your R gives you the stats to outduel him.
- Level 2 E max gives you some trading power, but Sion's W shield and Q damage still favor him in short exchanges.
How to Trade
- You want to E onto him when his Q is on cooldown, then immediately W-auto and Q away to avoid his W detonation and potential E follow-up.
- Never try to extended trade without your E up since he'll just Q you and win the trade with his superior base damages.
Wave Control
- You should freeze the wave near your tower early to force him to overextend for CS, making him vulnerable to ganks and your E-W-Q combo.
- Avoid pushing into him pre-6 since he can easily Q the wave and establish lane priority while poking you out.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to fight him in extended trades without your ultimate, as his W shield and Q damage will win most early skirmishes.
- Never engage when his Q is charged up, as the knockup into his full combo will chunk you heavily and potentially set up jungle ganks.
