Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you lose this matchup clearly — Renekton's level 2 and 3 all-in with empowered W stun and E mobility will chunk you heavily before your Q poison has time to matter, so playing aggressively early is a mistake.
  • Post-6, your R fundamentally changes the equation by giving you enough resistances and bonus stats to survive his burst and let your poison do sustained work, making extended fights and even all-ins more viable.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to proxy or run past him to force him to chase, then flip him with E into your Q poison trail so he's taking damage while moving toward you rather than away — this is the one scenario where your kit outperforms his.
  • Avoid standing still and trading auto-attacks or short exchanges, as his W stun and Q healing will always win those interactions in his favor.

Wave Control

  • Proxy farming behind him when possible is your strongest wave strategy, as it forces Renekton to choose between chasing you (dangerous for him) or losing CS and pressure — this also denies him the clean lane state he needs to dominate you.
  • If proxying isn't safe, push the wave fast with Q to get it to his tower and roam, since your value is in map pressure and scaling, not winning the 1v1 in lane.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand in lane and try to fight him on his terms before level 6 — he will win every short trade and most extended ones, and burning your summoners or dying early removes your ability to proxy and apply the map pressure that makes Singed functional.
  • Avoid flipping him E when he still has his E dash available, as he can simply dash out of your poison trail and the flip becomes a wasted cooldown that leaves you exposed.
