Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you do not win extended trades against Nasus due to his W slowing your attack speed and his passive lifesteal sustaining through your poke; you can win short trades by landing Q and immediately stepping back, but Nasus will simply out-sustain you over time.
  • Post-6, your R gives you global pressure that Nasus cannot match, but in a direct 1v1 at level 6 with R active, Nasus's R makes him nearly unkillable if he has stacks, so you rarely win the all-in.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to use Q on cooldown to zone Nasus off CS, then immediately disengage before his W comes back up; if he uses W on you, wait it out and re-engage with Q and E taunt to force a short burst trade.
  • Never let him W you and then stand in melee range, as the attack speed reduction combined with his lifesteal will swing the trade heavily in his favor.

Wave Control

  • You want to keep the wave slightly frozen or slow-pushed near your side of the lane to force Nasus to overextend for CS, denying him stacking opportunities; use Q to harass him off individual minions when he steps up to last-hit.
  • Avoid hard shoving the wave into his tower, as this gives him free stacking under tower and removes your ability to poke him.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not waste your E taunt trying to all-in Nasus at full health expecting to kill him, as his sustain and W will negate most of your damage output in a prolonged fight.
  • Your value in this matchup is split pressure and R teleport plays, not solo killing Nasus, so avoid tunnel-visioning on winning lane and instead focus on impacting the map.
