Who Wins
- You lose short trades levels 1-3 if Cho'Gath lands Q into Hail of Blades + E burst and dodges your W center, backing off before you build Grit.
- Post-6 the matchup becomes unwinnable as his R execute with Q-W-E combo creates kill pressure you cannot answer, especially if he freezes near tower.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is using Q movement speed to gap close, landing both Q-enhanced autos, then using W when he tries to disengage for maximum grit value.
- Always look to extend trades as your passive regeneration and sustained damage output heavily favor longer exchanges over short poke patterns.
Wave Control
- Avoid freezing as Cho'Gath will repeatedly poke you with E + Hail of Blades trades while you're stuck holding the wave near your tower.
- Only hard shove when you have HP advantage to create extended lanes for Q run-downs, but recognize he controls wave state better with superior E waveclear and can deny your setups.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use W reactively against his Q knockup as the cast time makes it easily interrupted, wasting your main trading tool.
- Avoid fighting when he has R available and you're below 600-700 health, as his execute threshold combined with Q-W combo can surprise kill you through your grit shield.
