Who Wins
- You can actually win early trades (levels 1–2) with Hail of Blades by landing Q and weaving in E-empowered autos while avoiding the center of Sett’s W.
- At level 6, your kill pressure spikes even harder thanks to the R execute combined with Q knockup.
How to Trade
- Land Q, then immediately proc 3 Hail of Blades autos with E active, finishing with W silence to prevent his W shield - this pattern allows repeated trades while backing off safely before he builds full Grit.
- Always dodge the center of his W by spacing properly, and never trade when Hail of Blades or Q is on cooldown as you lose your burst advantage.
Wave Control
- Freeze near your tower to deny Sett extended trades and set up gank opportunities, using your superior poke to control wave positioning.
- Use E as your main tool for waveclear to conserve mana for trades, only using Q or W when you need to hard shove for a recall.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Avoid trading when your Q or Hail of Blades is on cooldown, as Sett can run you down if you have no tools to punish or disengage.
- Don’t waste W or Q on waveclear unless necessary, since you need the mana for Q–autos–E–W poke and level 6 all-in setups.
