LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the 1v1 because Syndra's E stun into Q burst outpaces your W shield and your Q poke, and you have no reliable way to dodge her spheres in a short lane; post-6, you still lose the direct 1v1 because your R is a wide-area chain CC tool that requires multiple targets to be effective, not a kill tool in a solo duel against a fed Syndra.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to poke with Q from behind minions to proc your passive echo for bonus damage, use W preemptively when you anticipate her E so the shield absorbs part of the stun follow-up, and use E to root her if she walks up aggressively; never commit to a sustained trade because Syndra's burst window is shorter than your sustained output window.
Wave Control
- You should maintain a slow-pushed or even wave to keep minions in front of you as a buffer, since Syndra's E requires a clear path to hit you and minions can block her spheres; a large wave also lets you stack your passive faster and gives you more echo procs to poke her down over time rather than through direct confrontation.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your W reactively after Syndra's E has already landed, because the shield won't prevent the stun damage and you'll have wasted your primary defensive tool; also avoid grouping with your jungler near Syndra at level 6 without vision, as her R into your R can chain into a kill on you rather than a kill on her.
