Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Jinx lose a straight level 2 all-in from Rakan because his W into Xayah E combo deals more burst than your combined output before you can land meaningful CC; your level 3 is slightly better if you land your E root first, but Rakan's W cooldown is short enough to re-engage.
  • Post-6, your R is a game-changer because a well-placed ultimate can CC both enemies simultaneously and turn a losing fight into a kill, but Xayah's R still counters any dive attempt.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your primary job is to land your E through Rakan onto Xayah, then follow with your Q slow to let Jinx extend the trade safely; your W heal is most valuable used reactively after Rakan's engage lands rather than proactively, because you need the HP to survive the burst before healing.
  • Never use your E offensively if Rakan is in a position to W-engage, because you need it as a peel tool.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam pre-6 because Jinx has no self-peel and Rakan will immediately punish any absence with a 2v1 dive; post-6, after a won fight or a clear wave push, your R range allows you to influence mid-lane skirmishes without fully leaving bot.
  • The best roam timing is after you've burned Rakan's W and both enemies are low enough that they must back.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not waste your E as a poke tool into Rakan's W range — if he absorbs it or you miss, you have no CC to stop his engage for several seconds.
  • Avoid standing in a straight line with Jinx because Xayah's E feather return can hit both of you simultaneously and chunk your HP bars faster than your W can recover.
