Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and sustained damage, able to poke with Q and trade favorably with E-Q combos while Zed lacks gap closers.
- Post-6 Zed gains kill pressure with R, but you can still win extended trades if you position well and use W root effectively to prevent his escape.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is E-Q for poke when Zed goes for CS, then back off before he can retaliate with W-E-Q combo.
- In extended trades, weave multiple Q casts between abilities using your passive, and save W to root him when he tries to engage or disengage.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with E-Q to establish priority and recall timing, but transition to freezing near your tower once Zed hits 6 to limit his all-in angles.
- Maintain vision control as you're immobile and vulnerable to ganks, especially when the wave is pushed.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W defensively too early in trades as it's your only escape tool against his R engage.
- Avoid face-checking bushes or extending too far forward without vision, as Zed can easily set up kills with his jungler due to your lack of mobility.
