Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 due to Varus's superior range and poke damage with Q, but can start winning all-ins post-6 with R + full combo if you land W root.
- Your level 2 E-Q combo becomes relevant for short trades, but Varus still has the range advantage.
How to Trade
- Look for short E-Q trades when Varus steps up for CS, then immediately back off to avoid his Q retaliation.
- Your best trading windows are when he wastes Q on minions or when you can land W root for extended E-Q-E combos.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with E-Q to get priority and roam with R, as you can't match Varus's poke in extended laning phases.
- Focus on fast clearing waves and looking for R plays rather than trying to freeze against his superior range.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to match Varus's poke trading in the early game or you'll get chunked out of lane.
