LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win this matchup decisively: your E-W-Q-E combo deals far more burst damage than Gangplank can output in short trades, and he has no reliable escape from your dash.
- Post-6, your R gives you enough sustain and damage to still win extended fights, but Gangplank's R starts enabling him to disengage or punish you from range if you overextend.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to E in, immediately W to stun, Q for the heal, then E back out — this denies him the time to proc his Q passive barrels and keeps trades short where your burst dominates.
- Avoid letting him set up barrel chains before you engage, as a fully detonated chain will significantly reduce your health advantage before the trade even begins.
Wave Control
- You want to crash waves into his tower early to deny him barrel-farming CS and force him to choose between last-hitting under pressure or setting up barrels.
- Shoving also limits his ability to freely Q minions for W passive stacks, which delays his sustain and gold income.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not trade into him when he has a pre-placed barrel ready to chain — walking into a detonated barrel chain before your E is available essentially hands him a free winning trade.
- Many Renekton players engage recklessly assuming their kit always wins, but eating a full barrel combo before your stun lands can flip the outcome entirely.
