LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you lose short trades against Renekton's E-W-Q-E combo — his stun and burst outpace your damage in any direct exchange, and your W only removes the stun after the fact, not before.
- Post-6, your R changes the dynamic significantly: you can use it to disengage losing fights, zone him off objectives, or punish him for overextending, and your barrel damage scales to a point where he can no longer ignore your setup.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to pre-place barrels in the lane brushes or near the wave before he can react, then bait him into walking over them by threatening a Q — if he steps in, you detonate the chain and follow with an auto for maximum burst.
- Avoid direct short trades; instead, use your range advantage to poke with Q between his E cooldowns and only commit to a full trade when he has used E aggressively.
Wave Control
- You want to slow-push the wave by last-hitting with Q to stack your passive while building a large minion wave, then use the resulting freeze or crash to deny him easy CS and force him to overextend.
- Controlling the wave near your side of the lane also gives you more space to set up barrel chains safely without him being able to immediately dash onto you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use W reactively after his stun has already landed — it removes the stun but you have already taken the burst damage, so you gain very little.
- The bigger mistake is placing barrels predictably in the same spots repeatedly, as experienced Renekton players will simply walk around them and punish you during the long barrel cooldown at early ranks.
