Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win most short trades decisively if you land E-W-Q-E out, as Cassiopeia has no reliable escape and her damage requires sustained channeling you can simply walk out of; at level 3 your full combo deals more burst than she can output in the same window, making this your primary kill window.
  • Post-6, her R becomes a hard counter to your all-in since it stuns you mid-combo if you're facing her, and her sustained DPS with empowered W stacks will outlast your burst in extended fights.

How to Trade

  • Your optimal trade is a short burst: dash in with E, immediately proc W for the stun, Q for healing, then E back out before she can stack enough E casts to outdamage you.
  • Never stand still after your combo — Cassiopeia's damage scales with the number of E casts she lands, so giving her 3+ seconds of free casting negates your burst advantage entirely.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave aggressively early to force her under tower, where her E spam is less safe and she risks tower damage; her wave clear is decent but not instant, so a fast-pushed wave forces awkward decisions.
  • Avoid letting the wave freeze near her tower, as she thrives in a static lane where she can poke you freely while you can't all-in safely.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk into her E range without a clear commit plan — trading half your health for a failed engage that she heals back through W is a losing exchange that compounds over time.
  • Also, never face her when your R is up if she still has her R available, as her R will cancel your R's empowered state and leave you stunned and vulnerable.
