Who Wins
- Pre-6 you have strong engage potential but must respect Alistar's counter-engage with W-Q, making trades roughly even depending on positioning.
- Post-6 your R gives you better teamfight initiation, but Alistar's R provides strong disengage against your all-ins.
Synergy & Trading
- Look for W engages when Alistar is out of position or has used abilities on minions, then follow up with E-Q combo for maximum lockdown.
- Your best trading pattern is W onto Aphelios, then E-Q to extend the CC chain while your ADC follows up.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam when your ADC can safely farm and the wave is in a good state, typically after level 3 when you have full combo available.
- Best roam timings are when mid lane is pushed up or when jungle objectives are spawning and you can provide engage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't W engage when Alistar has W-Q available as he can easily interrupt your combo and turn the fight.
- Never engage without your ADC in position to follow up, as your dismounted form leaves you extremely vulnerable if the engage fails.
