Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you have a meaningful level 2 spike where your borrow-unborrow E knockup combo lets you deal a quick burst of damage and disengage before Warwick's passive sustain kicks in; however, at level 3 and beyond, extended trades heavily favor him due to his W damage reduction and passive healing.
  • Post-6, you lose the 1v1 decisively unless you can force short trades and escape underground before his R lands, as his R into passive healing cycle will out-sustain your damage in a prolonged fight.

How to Trade

  • Your optimal pattern is short burst trades: borrow to approach using tremor sense, surface with E knockup, deal damage with unburrowed Q and auto-attacks, then immediately re-borrow to disengage before his passive healing and W can swing the trade back in his favor.
  • Never let the fight extend past 3–4 seconds, as every second of sustained combat shifts the advantage to him.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave fast and consistently to deny him a slow-push setup, as a large wave crashing into your tower removes his dive threat and forces him to farm under pressure.
  • Use your burrowed Q poke from range to chip him down safely between waves, but respect that he can still all-in you at low health due to his passive triggering at 50% HP.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R tunnel as an escape tool without first confirming he has already committed his R — if he has his R available, he will simply leap to you the moment you surface at the tunnel exit, negating your escape entirely.
  • Treating your R as a guaranteed disengage against Warwick is a critical positioning mistake that will result in a free kill for him.
