LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Pantheon hard counters your engage pattern — his E stun is faster than your E hook setup and he can block your Q with his W shield, making level 2 and 3 all-ins extremely risky for you.
- Post-6, you gain R reset potential but Syndra's R can delete you before you land a clean kill, so you need Mel to have stacks built before you commit to any all-in.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to use your passive gray health drain to stay healthy while Mel pokes, then look for your E hook only when Syndra is isolated or Pantheon has used his E stun on cooldown.
- Chaining your E into Mel's E root creates a double-CC window that lets Mel stack Overwhelm rapidly — that is your win condition, not solo picks.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam aggressively once Mel shoves the wave — your R reset chain in other lanes is your primary value, and Mel's waveclear means she can survive short periods alone better than most ADCs.
- Optimal roam windows are after a successful level 6 kill attempt bot or when Pantheon roams first, as staying to match him in a 1v1 against Syndra is a losing proposition for Mel.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your Q in lane as a poke tool against Pantheon — he will simply shield it and you waste mana while telegraphing your position.
- Your Q is a setup tool for your E hook or an escape; using it carelessly removes your only reliable engage chain and leaves you with no kill setup when the opportunity actually arrives.
