Who Wins
- Pre-6 you lose if Alistar lands W-Q combos consistently, but your Q and sustain from W give you decent trading potential in extended fights.
- Post-6 your R execute threat and pick potential make you significantly stronger, especially with Jhin's follow-up damage.
Synergy & Trading
- Hook Kalista when she's animation-locked in auto attacks or E cast, then E to stun both enemies while Jhin follows with W root.
- Focus on hooking the ADC since Alistar can easily bodyblock for Kalista if you telegraph hooks poorly.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam frequently after level 3 when you have all basic abilities, especially when Jhin can safely farm or after successful backs.
- Best timings are when enemies are low from trades, when mid lane is overextended, or when you can coordinate with your jungler.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't hook when Alistar is positioned to bodyblock since he can W-Q you during your hook animation.
- Never use E aggressively without Q setup since it's your only escape tool against Alistar's engage potential.
