- Pre-6 you do not hard win this lane because Naafiri's Q gap-close is fast enough to punish overextended ball placement, but you consistently win short poke trades by keeping the ball on yourself for the passive shield and using Q to harass from range; post-6, your R is a game-changer if Naafiri R's into you, as you can immediately counter-R to stun her and her packmates together, which often means she dies rather than you.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to keep the ball slightly ahead of Naafiri's likely approach path so you can W-detonate on her as she closes in, then Q the ball back to yourself for the shield before she reaches auto-attack range; never let the ball sit on yourself passively when she is looking to engage, as you lose the zone-control advantage that makes this matchup manageable.
Wave Control
