Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you win the scuttle fight decisively if you land your Q to slow Wukong, then run him down with your passive attack speed and E sustain — Wukong has no reliable escape at this stage and his W clone does not save him from your persistent chase.
  • From level 6, you win a straight 1v1 by activating your R before Wukong can stack his W armor buff or land his full combo, since your R removes all CC and lets you ignore his E knockup entirely, making him unable to disengage or reset the fight.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Wukong will most likely start Red Buff side, clear into Raptors or Krugs, then look to contest scuttle at level 3 — he favors early skirmish setups near river bushes using his W to bait out your abilities before re-engaging.
  • Expect him to prioritize ganking lanes with CC after his first back, as his E knockup into full combo is most effective when the enemy laner can follow up.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Wukong at his second buff (approximately 3:15–3:30) if you started opposite side, because his clear is slower than yours and he will be low enough that your Q slow into sustained damage kills him before he can W away — target his Blue Buff if he started Red, or his Red Buff if he started Blue.
  • Do not invade at level 2 without vision, as his W can fake his position and waste your gap-close, letting him escape or turn the fight.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not waste your Q on minions or monsters right before a scuttle or invade fight — missing Q removes your slow and dramatically reduces your kill pressure, since your entire chase pattern depends on the slow enabling your melee range E and auto-attack sustain.
  • Also avoid saving your R for 'the right moment' too long; Wukong's burst window is short and if you hesitate, his E knockup into Q combo can chunk you below the threshold where your R passive healing matters.
