LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win almost every extended trade due to your passive root on every ability, your W shield absorbing Ambessa's burst, and your E slow making it impossible for her to disengage cleanly after she commits.
- At level 2 you spike meaningfully — W into passive auto into E creates a slow-root chain that she cannot escape without flash.
- Post-6 your R into Q combo is a guaranteed kill setup if she is not already at max range, and her R does not outrange your CC chain if you initiate first.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to walk up and force her to either trade or back off, using your W shield to absorb her first rotation, then auto to proc your passive root, E to slow her escape, and Q if she tries to dash away.
- The key is to never throw your Q as an opener from long range — save it as a follow-up to your passive root or E slow so she has no mobility to dodge it.
- This forces her into a full CC chain where she takes your entire combo.
Wave Control
- You want to slow-push or freeze the wave near your side of the lane to force Ambessa to walk up into your hook range without minion wave protection, as she needs to get close to deal damage and a frozen wave punishes her aggression.
- Avoid hard shoving unless you are roaming, because a pushed wave gives her a safe recall and removes your ability to punish her with a freeze.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not throw your Q blindly from max range as an opener — Ambessa's E has a short enough cooldown that she will dodge it on reaction and immediately punish you during your Q cooldown when you have no CC available.
- Your kill threat comes from chaining CC, not from landing a single hook, so patience in waiting for her to step into melee range is essential.
