- Pre-6 you lose this matchup clearly — Warwick's passive healing and W speed mean he can repeatedly short-trade you for free, and you have no reliable way to disengage or punish him; post-6 with R active you become competitive, but only if you have meaningful stacks, as R alone without stacks does not make you a lane winner against Warwick's sustained healing.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to absorb poke, use E defensively to slow him when he engages, and look for a full commit only when R is available; never attempt extended trades pre-6 without R, as his healing will outpace your Q damage unless you are significantly ahead on stacks.
Wave Control
- Let the wave push toward you naturally to farm safely under tower where Warwick is less incentivized to dive early; do not shove the wave into him, as that removes your safety net and lets him run you down in open lane with W speed.
