Who Wins
- Pre-6, Trundle wins every extended trade due to his W slowing your attack speed and movement, his E stealing your resistances, and his natural sustain from Q healing — you cannot fight him and should accept that you lose the 1v1 until well into the mid-game.
- Post-6, your R gives you enough bulk to survive longer, but Trundle's R will strip a significant portion of your armor and health, meaning you still lose a straight-up fight unless you have a substantial Q stack lead (300+ stacks) and items like Sheen or Frozen Heart.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to never trade — walk up exclusively to Q minions, use W preemptively if Trundle engages to reduce his movement speed and buy distance, and immediately disengage after each Q stack.
- If forced into a fight, activate W the moment he uses his E to mitigate the resistance drain window, and use R only as a survival tool to outlast his burst rather than to win the trade.
Wave Control
- Push the wave into his tower early so he cannot freely walk up to you without tower threat, which limits his ability to chain E and W on you during your Q farming.
- Once you have Sheen and enough stacks, you can start freezing near your tower to deny him and force him into unfavorable all-in attempts where your R and W give you enough survivability to punish overextension.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight Trundle when his E is available — his E steals your armor, which is your primary defensive stat as Nasus, and combined with his W rooting you in place, a single rotation will chunk you for far more than you expect.
- Avoid standing near his pillar at any point; being rooted while he drains your resistances with R is effectively a death sentence unless you are significantly ahead.
