Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you have a meaningful level 2 spike when you pair your E onto Lucian with a Q bubble — if you land Q, the kill threat is real because Milio cannot out-heal that burst window instantly.
  • Post-6, you lose the 2v2 initiative: Kog'Maw's R outranges your Q cast range, Milio's R cleanses your CC, and your W sustain cannot compete with Milio's healing output in a prolonged fight.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to W Lucian first to proc his passive, then immediately throw Q — if Q lands, Lucian can all-in freely; if it misses, use E on Lucian to force a quick trade and back off.
  • Never use Q as an opener from max range telegraphically; walk up with E active to force a reaction before committing your CC.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam aggressively in this matchup — Kog'Maw's R will freely poke Lucian to low HP the moment you leave, and Milio provides enough safety that the enemy duo does not need to overextend for you to punish.
  • If you do roam, do it only after a successful all-in that burns both enemy summoners, and only when the wave is shoved so Lucian is not immediately dived.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R reactively to disengage when Milio's R is still available — if you R away and Milio R cleanses your slow on Kog'Maw, you have wasted your ultimate and gained nothing.
  • Also avoid standing at a predictable angle where Kog'Maw's R can hit both you and Lucian simultaneously, as that poke will drain your mana trying to sustain it.
