LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have a real all-in window at level 3 when your pack is full and Mel has no reliable escape, but you must bait out her E first since a root mid-dash completely shuts down your engage and leaves you exposed.
- Post-6, Mel's R execute on stacked Overwhelm is a hard counter to your pattern of taking poke damage while looking for an opening, so you need to all-in before stacks accumulate or she will kill you from range.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use your Q to harass from a distance and bait Mel into using E on your dogs rather than you, then commit your full all-in with W dash and pack damage when her E is on cooldown.
- Avoid extended trades where she can freely stack Overwhelm with Q autos — you want short, explosive bursts of damage that end before she can leverage her execute threshold.
Wave Control
- Let the wave push toward you early so Mel has to walk up to CS, which shortens the range gap and makes her more vulnerable to your all-in without tower backup.
- Once you hit level 6, roaming is your strongest tool since Mel's wave clear is strong enough to sustain lane but she cannot follow your roam speed, and a fed Naafiri is far more dangerous than a lane-winning one.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not dash directly into Mel when her W is available — her W reflects projectiles and grants movement speed, meaning your Q daggers can be sent back at you and she escapes your follow-up.
- Never stack up in a position where Mel can land E on both you and your pack, as losing your dogs mid-fight dramatically reduces your damage output and survivability in the all-in.
