Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the ranged poke war if you consistently land Q to stack Overwhelm and deny Naafiri from walking up freely, but Naafiri's level 3 all-in with her pack is genuinely dangerous if you're caught without E up or low on HP from trading.
  • Post-6, your R execute threat on stacked targets makes Naafiri's aggressive dive patterns extremely risky, and you can punish her from global range if she overextends.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to poke with Q to build Overwhelm stacks, then use E to root her mid-dash or as she closes distance, and follow with empowered autos from your passive to chunk her before she can stick to you.
  • If she forces a close-range fight, W is your panic button to reflect her Q daggers back and buy distance, but don't rely on W as your primary tool since it has a cooldown and Naafiri can bait it.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave consistently with Q to maintain priority and force Naafiri to either farm under tower or match your shove, which limits her roam threat since she excels at snowballing side lanes.
  • Avoid letting the wave crash into your tower repeatedly, as that gives Naafiri free dive setups with her pack when you're cornered.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand still while stacking Q poke — Naafiri's entire kit is designed to punish immobile targets, and if you're predictably positioned, she will all-in you through your poke with her pack absorbing damage.
  • Never use W preemptively on a fake engage; save it for her actual committed dash so you reflect real damage and gain the movement speed to disengage safely.
