Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Zac has meaningful poke with his Q blobs and can disengage with his passive blob regeneration, making him slippery to punish early — however, once you hit level 3 and can consistently stack your passive through E into auto into Q, you can threaten real damage if Zac overextends to poke.
  • Post-6, your R completely neutralizes Zac's kit: his E engage, his passive blob survival, and his team-reliant playstyle all become irrelevant inside the Death Realm, and with stolen stats you stat-check him cleanly in a 1v1.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to absorb Zac's Q poke while building your W shield passively, then engage with E to pull him in, proc your passive with auto-Q, and immediately activate W to convert the shield into healing — this sustain loop lets you win extended trades that Zac cannot match.
  • Avoid short trades where Zac can poke and disengage; force him to commit or use your R to lock him into a full fight where his escape tools are stripped away.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave consistently with Q to deny Zac the ability to roam and stack his passive blobs safely under tower, since Zac's strength scales with getting ahead through skirmishes and objective fights.
  • If you shove and he tries to match your push, you can look for an R engage under his tower where he has no escape and you steal his stats in a controlled environment.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not let Zac freely poke you with Q blobs without responding — if you take repeated poke without trading back through E or passive procs, you will fall below the health threshold needed to confidently R him and win the Death Realm fight.
  • Also avoid using R when Zac's passive blobs are alive on the ground, as he will not die even if you win the stat-check fight inside the realm, wasting your ultimate entirely.
