Who Wins
- Pre-6, Morgana's Q root is the primary threat — if she lands it, she can freely auto you and stack her passive torment damage while you can't close the gap or E effectively; however, her damage output is low and your W absorbs a meaningful portion of her poke, so you neither win nor lose decisively before 6 as long as you respect the root.
- Post-6, you win the R duel convincingly: you steal her stats, she has no mobility to escape the Death Realm, her Q cannot be cast at you from range inside it, and your passive aura combined with stolen resistances makes her damage negligible.
How to Trade
- Walk up to proc your passive stacks with autos and Q, then use E to pull her in when she steps forward to Q — the E pull interrupts her Q wind-up if timed correctly, denying her primary tool and letting you stack passive damage in melee range.
- Activate W reactively after she commits her Q root to convert the incoming damage into a heal, then re-engage once the root expires rather than burning W preemptively on poke.
Wave Control
- Push the wave aggressively early to force Morgana to last-hit under tower, which limits her ability to safely land Q on you from range; a shoved wave also reduces the space she has to kite and poke you without consequence.
- Once you hit 6, look to R her in a side-wave context rather than under her tower, as the Death Realm does not teleport you back to your original position and dying inside it still counts as a death.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk in a straight predictable line toward Morgana — her Q is a skillshot and she relies entirely on landing it to trade favorably, so lateral movement and using minions as body-blockers dramatically reduces her effectiveness.
- Avoid using R when she has her E active on herself, as the spell shield will block your R entirely and waste your ultimate with a long cooldown.
