Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win extended trades if you can land your Q bounces onto Tristana while she's near minions, but Nautilus's level 2 all-in with his hook is a serious threat that can flip the lane before you establish pressure.
  • Post-6, your R is a game-winning tool if Rakan lands his CC, but Tristana's E can knock you out of your R channel and Nautilus's R can interrupt it as well, so you rarely get a clean ult.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to poke with Q bounces off minions onto Tristana from max range, then commit to a full trade only when Nautilus's hook is on cooldown and Rakan has already engaged with his W.
  • Never auto-attack into Nautilus without Rakan's CC landing first, as his passive shield and root will punish short trades heavily.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave consistently to deny Tristana free cannon farm and to force Nautilus to stay close to the wave rather than looking for hooks.
  • A shoved wave also gives you a safer position since Nautilus's hook range is limited and you can stand further back while the wave is near their tower.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand in a position where Nautilus can hook you and simultaneously put you in Tristana's E range, as that combination will burst you before Rakan can peel.
  • Avoid channeling your R without confirmed CC from Rakan, because a single Tristana E will cancel it and waste your kill window entirely.
