Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win the 2v2 with Lux's poke support — your passive double-up shots on Tristana through minions combined with Lux's E zone force them to play back or take sustained damage they cannot efficiently trade back.
- Post-6 you lose the all-in if Nautilus lands R on you, because your R is completely interrupted by any CC and Nautilus's chain into Tristana's R is lethal; you must respect this and avoid giving them a clean engage angle.
Synergy & Trading
- Use Lux's E to zone Nautilus away from hook range, then walk up to double-up passive shots onto Tristana — your Q into double-up is your highest damage trade and works best when Lux has already rooted or slowed Nautilus so he cannot close the gap.
- Never commit to a trade when Nautilus's Q is available and you have no vision of his position.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Keep the wave slightly slow-pushed toward your side to maintain a safe poke position and deny Nautilus brush access — a wave near your tower removes his ability to hook from brush and forces him to engage in the open where Lux can react.
- Avoid letting the wave crash to your tower repeatedly as it removes your poke angle and gives Tristana free farm.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to use R unless Nautilus's Q and R are both confirmed on cooldown — casting R in this matchup with Nautilus alive and available is extremely high risk since a single hook during the channel ends your ultimate and likely ends your life.
