Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Caitlyn's range advantage means she wins passive poke trades, and Pyke's hook into Caitlyn headshot combo is a reliable kill threat on you — you do not win the 2v2 pre-6 unless Lux lands a root that lets you double-up with your passive and W.
  • Post-6, your R is a game-changing tool if Lux roots one or both enemies, but Pyke's R can deny your R channel or execute you mid-cast, so the post-6 advantage is conditional, not guaranteed.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to stay behind Lux, let her initiate with Q, then immediately activate W and unload autos with your passive on the rooted target — your passive double-hit on a rooted Caitlyn or Pyke deals significant burst that they cannot easily mitigate.
  • Never walk up to trade without Lux's Q being available, because you have no mobility to escape Pyke's hook if you overextend.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Play for a slow push into a freeze-break rather than hard shoving — you want the wave near your tower when Pyke is looking to roam, because your lack of mobility makes you extremely vulnerable to being dove or hooked in the open river.
  • Use E to slow enemies trying to all-in you and to set up Lux's Q angle rather than using it as a primary poke tool.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not channel R into a Pyke who has his R available — he will execute you mid-channel or interrupt it with his Q, wasting your most important ability and likely costing you the fight.
  • Always confirm Pyke's R is on cooldown or that he is CCed before committing to your R.
