Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Alistar win this lane — Alistar's level 2 W+Q into your passive auto and E slow is a kill threat that Bard and Samira cannot match in raw burst, and Samira's need to be in melee range to stack passive makes her extremely vulnerable to Alistar's engage.
- Post-6, your R is a game-winning tool if Bard's R is on cooldown, but you must respect that Bard's R can cancel your R channel instantly, so you should never cast R without confirming Bard's R is unavailable.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to let Alistar initiate with W+Q, immediately follow with a passive-empowered auto on the CC'd target, then activate E to slow their escape and continue auto-attacking — your passive double-up bounce is particularly lethal when Samira is grouped with Bard after Alistar's knockup.
- Use Q to poke Bard when he walks up for chimes, as the bounce onto Samira behind him deals significant damage and forces early backs.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Maintain a slow push or even wave state to keep the wave near the center of the lane, giving Alistar maximum space to engage without the enemy being near their tower's safety.
- Avoid letting the wave crash into your tower because it removes Alistar's engage range and gives Bard free chime collection near your side of the map.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not cast R when Bard's R is available — he will cancel it for free and you will have wasted your primary win condition.
- Always track Bard's R cooldown and either bait it out with a fake channel or wait for him to use it on another target before committing to your R.
