Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Zac unless you land your Q to dodge his E knockup and immediately follow up with sustained DPS — Zac's E deals significant damage and his passive blob regeneration gives him effective HP you cannot burst at this stage.
  • From level 6, you can win a 1v1 if you use Q to dodge his E engage entirely, then commit with W to heal through his combo and shred him with sustained auto-attack DPS before his blobs revive him.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Zac most commonly runs a full clear starting Red or Blue side depending on his team's leash, then looks to path toward the river for early scuttle or toward a gank-heavy lane — he prioritizes bot or top side ganks at level 3 due to his E range and CC chain.
  • Expect him to take his second buff and then immediately look for a gank or scuttle contest rather than doing a full six-camp clear, as his clear speed is slower than yours.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Zac at his second buff camp around the 3:15–3:30 mark if you have vision or strong read on his starting side — you clear faster than him, so you will arrive with more HP and he will be lower from clearing.
  • Target his Blue Buff side if he started Red, as catching him between camps with no blobs nearby removes his passive safety net and you can burst him before he regenerates.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk into Zac's E range without a plan to dodge it — his E is a long-range, two-part knockup that sets up his entire combo, and if you get hit and knocked airborne you will eat his full W slam and Q follow-up before you can respond.
  • Avoid face-checking river bushes or jungle entrances where he can pre-position his E, as getting caught without your Q available means you absorb his full damage pattern with no counterplay.
