Who Wins
- Pre-6 you lose this lane hard due to Mel's range advantage, poke from Q, and E root keeping you from ever safely closing the gap.
- Post-6 you can attempt all-ins with Alpha Strike to dodge E and gap-close, but her W reflects your Q and her execute passive means she can kill you before you finish the trade if she has stacks built up.
How to Trade
- Your only viable trading pattern is using Q to close distance and dodge her E root, then immediately going for a sustained melee trade before she can reposition with W movement speed.
- If she activates W during your all-in, disengage immediately — trading into a reflected projectile barrier while she's invulnerable will lose you the fight outright.
Wave Control
- Push the wave hard and look to crash it, then back off or roam, because sitting in lane against her sustained Q poke will drain your health and gold lead over time.
- You cannot freeze or slow-push effectively since she outranges you and will just poke you off the wave freely.
Mistakes to Avoid
