  • You lose most scuttle fights level 3 since Kayn has better early game burst and mobility with his Q-W combo while you rely on sustained damage.
  • From level 6, you win 1v1s if you can avoid his initial burst and get multiple auto attacks off, especially against Shadow Assassin form, but struggle against Rhaast's healing.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Kayn will likely start raptors or krugs for AoE clear, then path towards scuttle or look for early ganks on his strong side.
  • He may attempt early invades around level 3-4 when his combo damage is strongest relative to your sustained damage output.

Invade or Not

  • You should avoid invading Kayn early as he has better skirmishing tools and escape mechanisms with his E wall walk.
  • Wait until you have items and levels where your sustained damage outscales his burst, typically after completing your jungle item and boots.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't fight Kayn in tight jungle corridors where he can easily land his W knockup and follow up with Q damage.
  • Avoid using your Q aggressively for gap closing when his W is available, as getting knocked up will likely result in you taking his full combo and losing the trade.
