Scuttle Contest

  • You win scuttle fights level 3 due to your Q dash mobility and W knockup providing better positioning and CC than Yi's basic attacks.
  • From level 6, you only have sure win conditions if you're Shadow Assassin form and can burst him before he gets multiple auto attacks off, or if you're Rhaast and can sustain through his damage with your healing.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Yi will likely start bot side krugs/gromp, clear towards scuttle, then look for a full clear or gank opportunities on his strong side.
  • He typically avoids early confrontations and focuses on efficient farming to reach his power spikes quickly.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Yi's jungle after level 4-5 when you have your full combo and he's likely low from clearing camps.
  • Target his krugs or gromp when you know his position on the opposite side, as these camps are slow for him to clear and valuable for your form progression.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't chase Yi through his jungle without vision or backup, as he can easily turn fights with his Q reset mechanics and superior sustained damage.
  • Avoid fighting him in open areas where he can freely auto attack - instead, use walls and terrain to your advantage with your E.
