Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and wave control, as Vayne cannot effectively trade back against your E-auto poke from 550+ range.
- Post-6 you still maintain advantage if you land Q, but Vayne's R gives her enough mobility and stealth to potentially dodge your combo and all-in you.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is E on minions to hit Vayne simultaneously, followed by auto attack, then back off before she can gap close with Q.
- Never lead with Q unless you're certain it will land, as missing it leaves you completely vulnerable to her all-in.
Wave Control
- You want to hard push early waves with E to establish range advantage and recall timing, then maintain slow pushes to keep Vayne under tower where she struggles to CS.
- Avoid freezing as it allows her to farm safely and potentially set up ganks.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never walk up to auto attack minions when your E is on cooldown, as Vayne can Q-auto-E you into wall for massive damage.
- Don't waste Q on minions for waveclear as it's your only self-peel tool against her engage.
