Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight if Zac lands a clean engage before you have Q stacks on them — Zac's CC duration and tankiness mean you cannot burst them down in one rotation without pre-stacked Q, and their passive blob healing sustains them through your damage.
  • Your win condition at level 3 is to poke with Q during the approach to scuttle, force Zac to fight with three stacks already on them, then immediately E-W to cash in the burst before Zac's CC chain locks you down.
  • At level 6, you win a 1v1 if you control the engagement timing — never let Zac initiate on you, instead use Q to stack marks from a safe distance, then E in and activate W to deal true damage while consuming stacks, recasting W before Zac's CC can fully lock you down.
  • The sure win condition is having three Q stacks pre-loaded and E available with a reset target nearby, as this lets you burst Zac below a threshold where your passive's missing-health scaling deals massive damage, and you can disengage with E if the trade goes wrong.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Zac will likely run a full clear prioritizing both buffs before contesting scuttle, potentially looking for an early gank if a lane is pushed up — expect them to path toward scuttle at level 3 with full HP and CC abilities ready.
  • Be aware that Zac may attempt to invade your second buff around 3:15–3:30 if they started opposite side, as your early clear leaves you isolated and vulnerable to Zac's engage in tight jungle corridors.

Invade or Not

  • You should generally avoid invading Zac early — Zac's tankiness and CC make 1v1 jungle fights extremely dangerous for you without pre-stacked Q, and getting caught in Zac's engage inside a jungle camp removes your ability to use E to escape cleanly.
  • If you do invade, do so only at level 3 after stacking Q on Zac through a wall or from fog of war, targeting their second buff when they are low from clearing, and immediately E-W to burst before they can respond.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not activate W and then immediately recast it to end early just to heal — the true damage you take during W is the cost of your damage output, and recasting too early wastes the burst window that makes your all-in threatening against Zac's tankiness.
  • Avoid using E aggressively without Q stacks pre-loaded on Zac, as without the bonus damage from consumed stacks your burst is insufficient to threaten a tank, and you will be left without your escape tool inside Zac's CC range.
