Who Wins
- Pre-6, Twisted Fate's consistent poke with his basic attacks and Gold Card threat keeps you honest at range, but once you hit level 3 and have Q stacks available, you can threaten a full E-W all-in if he overextends — his lack of mobility makes him vulnerable to your blink.
- Post-6, your R's execution threshold combined with E-W burst gives you a realistic kill window, but TF's R gives him global pressure that punishes you for overcommitting to a long all-in.
How to Trade
- Stack Q on him from range to apply marks, then commit to E into W to consume stacks and proc your passive's missing-health scaling — the combo hits hardest when he's already at 60–70% HP from prior poke.
- Avoid trading when he has a Gold Card ready, as the stun interrupts your W recast timing and leaves you taking true damage with no heal payoff.
Wave Control
- Push the wave early to force TF to CS under tower, which limits his ability to roam freely and reduces his R's impact — a shoved wave means he either stays and farms or loses CS while roaming.
- Once you have R, consider holding a slow push to crash a big wave before he can use his R to roam, denying him the tempo advantage his kit relies on.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use E purely as an engage tool without at least two Q stacks on the target — your burst damage is dramatically lower without the stack consumption, and TF's tankiness from Zhonya's or Banshee's will let him survive and punish your cooldowns.
- Also avoid staying in W too long fishing for a heal if TF has a Gold Card available, as getting stunned mid-W denies your recast and wastes the true damage you've already taken.
