LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose level 1 and 2 trades against Galio because he has a passive shield that absorbs your on-hit damage and Q poke, and you need multiple Q stacks to deal meaningful burst.
- At level 3 your E-W all-in becomes viable if you have 3 Q stacks pre-loaded, but Galio's W shield and base tankiness mean a failed all-in leaves you taking true damage from W with no kill to show for it.
How to Trade
- Post-6, you can threaten kills if Galio is below your R execution threshold, but his R is a global taunt that can interrupt your E approach or force you to burn W early for the heal rather than the damage amplification.
- Pick your all-in windows when Galio's W is on cooldown and you have full Q stacks, otherwise the trade will be unfavorable.
Wave Control
- Your best trading pattern is to land Q twice at range to build stacks while staying outside Galio's Q range, then commit to E-W all-in only when you have 3 stacks and Galio's passive shield is down.
- Don't use E as a poke tool since the cooldown is long and burning it without W follow-up gives Galio a free window to trade back without your burst.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't activate W and then get taunted by Galio's R mid-trade, as the true damage continues ticking while you're CC'd and you cannot recast W to heal until the taunt ends, which can result in you taking significant self-damage for no kill.
- Always check Galio's R cooldown before committing to a full all-in, and position to avoid being hit by his R cast during your E approach.
