LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win short trades at level 1-2 by walking up to proc your passive shield and trading back with Q, since Locke needs Q stacks built up before committing and can't burst you down quickly without them.
- At level 3 Locke gains real all-in threat with E-W, so respect the combo window, but your W shield and tankiness still make you a poor target for a full assassination unless you're already low.
How to Trade
- Post-6, Locke's R execution threshold becomes a serious threat if you've taken poke damage, and their E-W all-in can chunk you hard before your R lands.
- Use your R proactively to interrupt their combo setup or force them off a trade, but don't rely on it as a reactive escape since Locke can recast W through CC and sustain through your damage.
Wave Control
- Your best trading pattern is to absorb Q poke with your passive shield, then immediately walk up and force a short trade with your own Q slow into auto-attacks before Locke can stack more nails.
- Avoid extended trades where Locke has 3 Q stacks ready, as the E dash into W all-in with full stacks will outdamage your sustained trading pattern.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't shove the wave mindlessly thinking your roam threat compensates for giving Locke free Q stack practice on minions and poke on you under tower.
- Locke's wave clear with E is decent enough that you won't consistently freeze or crash waves to deny them, so focus on maintaining a position where you can contest their Q poke rather than ceding lane control entirely.
