LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose most extended trades because Akali's passive shroud and sustain let her disengage and recover faster than you can stack Q marks and convert them — your damage requires setup time she won't give you for free.
- At level 3 you gain your full combo pattern (Q into E into W), which is your first real window, but Akali's shroud at level 4 largely neutralizes your ability to follow up with auto-attack stack consumption, so the advantage is narrow and conditional.
How to Trade
- Post-6, you have a meaningful edge if you can land R before engaging, as the 99% slow and execution threshold create a kill condition Akali cannot simply shroud away from — her R mobility is strong but she still has to re-enter your R zone to finish you.
- The matchup tips in your favor post-6 primarily because your R punishes her re-engage pattern, not because your base stats outclass her.
Wave Control
- Your optimal trade is to land Q stacks at range to build marks, then commit to E blink into W activation and immediately consume stacks with your empowered auto — the W true damage ticking during the fight means you're also building a heal buffer if she forces you to disengage.
- Never start W before you have at least 2 Q stacks on her, because without stack consumption your burst is too low to threaten her health bar before she can shroud and reset.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Avoid using E as a pure gap-closer into Akali without Q stacks already applied — her shroud will deny your follow-up auto-attack stack consumption and you'll have burned your mobility with no damage payoff.
- Burning E reactively to dodge her R re-engage is also a critical mistake, as E reset on takedown is your primary tool for extended fights and you need it available for the kill attempt, not as an escape.
