Pre-6, Kai'Sa + Blitzcrank win most 2v2 exchanges because Blitzcrank's Q pull into Kai'Sa burst is a near-instant kill threat that Leona cannot reliably prevent before she has her full engage chain online.
Post-6, you gain a meaningful edge because your R gives you a long-range initiation tool that Blitzcrank cannot match in range, and a successful R into Q-W-E chain on Kai'Sa is a kill even through her E.

Your best trading pattern is to wait for Blitzcrank to waste his Q on a minion or on Senna's wraith souls, then hard engage with E-Q-W onto Kai'Sa, not Blitzcrank, since Blitzcrank's passive shield absorbs burst and Kai'Sa is the squishier kill target.
