LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win this lane cleanly because your Q-W burst deals immediate damage before Locke can stack Q marks and your W return denies him any follow-up — at level 2 you can already Q-W poke for significant damage and disengage before he builds stacks.
- Post-6, your R(W) double dash makes you nearly impossible to pin down for his E-W combo, and your Q-R(Q) burst can delete him before his passive on-hit scaling becomes relevant if you keep him low.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trade is Q into W dash to detonate the sigil, then immediately W return to safety before he can stack his Q marks and commit E-W — this deals your full burst while completely denying his combo setup since he needs time to stack marks before cashing in.
- If he has Q stacks on you, respect the threat and do not let him land E while you are marked, as his passive on-hit damage scales hard on missing health and a full combo with stacks will hurt significantly.
Wave Control
- Use your superior instant waveclear with Q-W or Q-R(Q) to crash waves quickly and roam, as Locke's wave clear is slower and he cannot follow your roam pace without losing significant farm — denying him sealed souls from R pickups also stunts his late-game execution threshold scaling.
- When he tries to shove with Q, punish him for standing near the wave by trading Q-W onto him while he is focused on last-hitting.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use W aggressively into Locke when he already has Q stacks on you, because if your W dash lands you in his E range with marks active, he can immediately E-W all-in and your W return may not save you before his passive on-hit burst and W heal sustain overwhelm your burst window.
- Respect that his W can be recast through CC, meaning your E root does not fully shut down his all-in if he is already committed.
