LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the poke war against Gnar due to his range advantage, and your Q tether is difficult to land on a mobile opponent who can simply walk back — level 3 is your first real window to look for an all-in if Gnar is low on rage and you have Q, W, and E ready.
- Post-6, your R gives you a strong engage tool that Gnar cannot simply sidestep, and your remount acts as a second life that Gnar's burst often cannot account for, making extended fights post-6 more favorable for you if you manage Courage correctly.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait Gnar into committing a poke, then immediately dash in with E to close the gap and proc your W passive with sustained autos — Kled wins trades that go longer than three seconds because your W damage compounds over time.
- Avoid initiating when Gnar is near full rage, as a Mega Gnar transformation mid-trade will flip the outcome entirely with the stun and knockback.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze or slow-push the wave near your side of the lane to force Gnar to walk up and take poke trades on your terms, reducing his ability to safely harass from range.
- Farming minions is also directly tied to your Courage generation, so prioritizing last hits over aggressive plays when dismounted is not passive — it is mechanically necessary to restore your remount as quickly as possible.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R as a pure engage tool into a Gnar who is sitting at high rage, because landing your R and committing to a fight only to get stunned by a Mega Gnar R immediately after will likely result in your death even with the remount.
- Additionally, avoid letting Gnar freely poke you to low HP on Skaarl without having a plan to either disengage or force the fight, because being dismounted in a losing position without Courage built up leaves you extremely vulnerable.
